Job Description
Job Summary:
Medical Assistant assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
Responsibilities:
+ Assists with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties.
+ Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
+ Performs basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
+ Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
+ Required Credential(s):
+ BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
+ Nat'l Medical Assistant (MA) Certification - CMA (Cert. Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)/AAMA Cert. (American Association of Medical Assistants). NCCT, AAMA, or AMT are acceptable certification sites. Completion of Basic Machine Operators (BMO) cert. preferred. Current registration with State of FL as a BMO Operator preferred.
Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent requiredGraduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred
Work Experience:
+ Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
URGENT CARE and/or ER EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
